Ghana CoC certification
Introduction to Ghana CoC Certification
Products shipped to Ghana are tested and inspected to ensure that they meet Ghanaian and international environmental, health and safety standards. Under the Ghana Compliance Certification Program, importers and exporters are required to obtain a CoC from an authorized authority to ensure the smooth clearance of goods entering Ghana. G-CAP verifies the compliance of all regulated products and enforces its standards. In addition to existing import procedures, products also need to meet the requirements of the CAP. Any product exported to Ghana that is included in the following categories must be cleared with a certificate of conformity, regardless of the country of origin. If the goods arrive without the CoC certificate, it will result in serious customs clearance delay, fine and even return.

Notes for Ghana CoC certification
Applying for Ghana VOC certification, although it is very similar to Kenya's PVOC certification, there are still some differences. For example, Kenya has 9 categories of controlled products, while Ghana has 14 categories, so there are differences. Not exactly the same. Also pay attention to the following:
1. The mains voltage in Ghana is 220V, 5Hz, while that in Saudi Arabia is 220V, 60Hz. If you want to apply for VOC certification in Ghana by using the test report in Saudi Arabia, you need to do a difference test. Otherwise it is not entirely acceptable.
2. Most Ghanaians believe in Christianity, but also some believe in fetishism and Islam. They regard the stool as a mascot. Like toys. There must be no toys that can be discarded. It's a local custom.
3, Ghanaians pay more attention to reputation, personal credit is better than other African countries, if the delivery time is agreed with the other side, you'd better deliver on time, VOC certification should also abide by the contract. I'm afraid it was a verbal agreement. And they all keep their promises. So, if you're asked to get a CoC, you'd better do it. Business is sustainable.
Ghana CoC certification processing cycle
1. Provide sample testing: (Required materials: test sample, test application form and product label, for serial application, you need to provide product samples of each model or test photos of each model sample), the test time is 7-10 working days.
2, after the completion of the test, arrange the application for inspection: (need to submit the product test report, packing list, proforma invoice and CoC application form), after the review, the given inspection arrangement will be about 5 days.
3. The Ghana COC certificate will be issued 3-5 days after the goods pass the inspection. The inspection is mainly about visual inspection to check whether the packaging and labels of the products meet the Ghana standards.
